Many of these phenolics have strong antioxidant activities and thus they are also beneficial for human systems. For examples, most of the red wines have been attributed to reduce the risk of atherosclerosis and heart diseases due to the presence of bioactive phenolic compounds.

Wine also reduces the risk of prostate cancer

Research has also shown that men who take about 4 or more glasses of wine per week are at 50 percent lesser risk of suffering from prostate cancer. But, that surely does not mean that you go on drinking bottles at a stretch. As told earlier, moderation is required.

It also helps in digestion
There are many who take a little of wine everyday along with their meals. The simple reason behind this intake is that wine also helps in digestion. It helps the food breakdown easily and provide instant energy.
